Individual Gifts
A large percentage of donations to Habitat for Humanity Greater Peoria Area comes from individual contributors. It takes a great deal of capital to make this mission work. Whether designating or utilizing your gift to help build a house, acquire land, purchase equipment, or provide the services to equip our families, you can be assured your gift will be used effectively and efficiently.

House Sponsorships
There are four different sponsor levels for your business, church or organization to help build a Habitat house. From Day Sponsors to Whole House Sponsors, this is a perfect opportunity to directly interact with and impact a family, as well as foster team building skills within your group.

Land
Without land, there can be no "habitat." One of our greatest needs, we are always looking for affordable land on which to build houses. There are two ways to help. First, you may want to consider a designated gift to help us purchase the land we need to build houses for our partner families. Or, if you own property that may be suitable for Habitat, you can donate or sell it at a reduced price to us with tax benefits for you.

Gifts In-Kind
Contributions of new construction materials, professional building services, and used or new equipment, tools, or vehicles are always welcome and help us to keep the cost of house building as low as possible.

Planned Gifts
You can create a legacy that will continue building a better future for families in our community for years to come by remembering Habitat for Humanity Greater Peoria Area in your will or by making another type of planned gift.

Habitat ReStore
In an effort to be more self-sustaining, Habitat for Humanity Greater Peoria Area opened ReStore in 2005. ReStore relies on donations from individuals and businesses of both new and used building materials, home furnishings, appliances, and other household improvement items. They are then sold to the public at a fraction of retail cost. All proceeds support Habitat's mission. To donate any of these items or to have them picked up, please call ReStore at 309 676-8402.

Matching Gifts
You may be able to double or triple your donation. Many area businesses and corporations match employee or retiree gifts. Check with your company's human resources department.

United Way Contribution
If you are planning to make a contribution to United Way, either directly or through your company, you can designate your gift to Habitat for Humanity Greater Peoria Area. United Way's donor option program enables you to get credit for giving to United Way and at the same time to support directly the work of Habitat for Humanity Greater Peoria Area.
